By using our website or platform, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or platform.

1. Who these terms apply to

• Providers — care organisations and businesses that subscribe to use the Safeboard platform for recruitment, safer recruitment checks, and onboarding.
• Candidates and staff — individuals who use the platform to apply for roles, complete onboarding, or manage their records at the request of a provider.
• Website visitors — anyone browsing safeboard.co.uk without a platform account.

2. The Safeboard service

Safeboard provides a platform to support recruitment, safer recruitment compliance, and onboarding workflows for care sector organisations. Provider use of the platform is subject to a separate commercial agreement / subscription terms, which take precedence over these Terms of Use in the event of any conflict regarding platform functionality.

3. Accounts and access

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or misuse the platform.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
• Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent information (including in relation to DBS, right to work, or reference data)
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or another user's data
• Interfere with the security or proper functioning of the platform

5. Data protection

Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy and, for provider clients, the applicable Data Processing Agreement. By using the platform, you acknowledge that your data will be processed in accordance with these documents.

6. Intellectual property

All content, design, branding, and underlying technology of the Safeboard platform and website are the property of SAFEBOARD LTD or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or reverse-engineer any part of the platform without our written consent.

7. Availability and liability

• We aim to keep the platform available and functioning correctly but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
• To the fullest extent permitted by law, SAFEBOARD LTD is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the platform.
• Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
